Brigham City Library Objectives
- To provide free service to every resident in our community by obtaining the financing necessary to carry on a library program that would meet the American Library Association criteria for small libraries.
- To identify community needs and provide reliable information, recreational reading, viewing and listening for our community.
- To develop and maintain a strong public relations program.
- To support the Library Bill of Rights and the Freedom to Read statement of the American Library Association.
- To provide free public meeting rooms as defined in our policy statement.
- To encourage children in the development of an appreciation for books and reading as well as assisting in the development of library skills.
- To provide a basic research for the student population for Brigham City.
- To support the study of local history and people and serve as a repository for local culture and history.
- To encourage all segments of our community to have input into library operation.
- To provide adequate housing for the library collection.
