Donations
The Library accepts books and media, as well as monetary donations.
To make an item donation, bring items (e.g. books, movies, etc.) to the front desk during regular business hours. If you are making a large donation of 4 or more boxes, please call ahead to give us notice. The front desk provides proof-of-donation receipts upon request.
To make a monetary donation, please contact the front desk. We accept cash, cards, and checks.
Donated physical materials are evaluated by librarians for use in the Library. Items not added to the Library's collection are sold at community book sales. These sales help fund special projects, programs, and equipment (e.g. renovations, new furniture, special events, etc.)
If you wish to donate irregular items, equipment, or funding for a specific purpose, please contact the Library Director. You can find additional donation information on our Policies page.

Book Sale
When is the book sale?
September and January.
The library's large, annual used book sale is after Labor Day. The sale ends on Peach Days. A smaller book sale is held in January. Exact dates and times will be posted on the events calendar.
A small selection of used books is available year-round on the sale shelf in the library (main level, next to the stairs).
See upcoming sale dates on our events calendar.
What's for sale?
Books, audio, & visual.
The sale could include books, cds, & DVDs, but the exact items vary from year to year. We do not keep a list of titles.
Magazines are usually sold in their own separate sale in December or January.
Where do the books come from?
Donations & discarded library materials.
The library keeps its collections healthy by discarding books which are in poor condition or no longer check out. Most of these materials end up in the sale.
We also sell items that were donated to us, but that we can't use (e.g. we already had a copy, didn't have room, etc.)
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, card, & check.
(No American Express or Venmo)
When are your magazines on sale?
January
To make room for next year's issues, old magazines go on sale separately from the big September Peach Days book sale. The magazine sale is included in our January book sale. Exact dates vary depending on when the new year's issues begin arriving.
What happens to the leftover books?
They are resold or recycled.
After being offered at the Library's public sale, unwanted books are collected to be resold or recycled.
Book Sales
- Annual Sale: Early September ending Peach Days weekend. A smaller sale takes place in January.
- Annual Magazine Sale: Magazines are included in our January book sale.
- Ongoing Sale: A small shelf's-worth of donated or discarded books is for sale year-round.
